Where a U-value is printed, it is U ≤ 0.5 W/m²·K. That is the unit on the sheet. It has not been converted into an NFRC imperial number on this site.
Do not ask the quote to "make it 0.30" by translating units in an email. If the energy spec needs a different value, send the value the section requires.
Product sourcing
Product sourcing for commercial windows includes impact openings only when the specification calls for them. Division 8 USA is a Houston supplier of commercial architectural products for hospitality, multifamily, commercial, student housing, and senior living. The services are specification review, product sourcing, project quotations, procurement coordination, and delivery coordination.
What to send
- The impact requirement from the specification
- Opening type: sliding, fixed, or hung
- Sizes and quantities
- Frame finish
- Project location
What this note will not do
A Florida approval code printed on a product page is a manufacturer reference. It is not a Division 8 USA test report, and it is not a project approval.
More on commercial windows. The five services are on product sourcing. Send the specification for a project quotation.
Did you convert the U-factor to NFRC?
No. Printed U-values stay in W/m²·K. Send the project energy requirement if it uses a different unit or a different number.
